The Department of Pathology of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College is headed by a professor and enriched by associate, assistant professor with number of lecturers, technicians and laboratory attendant.
The main responsibility of the department is to carry out the academic activities of 3rd and 4th year M.B.B.S course that includes lecture, tutorial classes and laboratory practical session.
Reporting of surgical and cytology specimens are also one of the important tasks of the department to support the Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital.
Lecture classes are taken by the professors and tutorial and practical classes are usually conducted by the lecturers in small group under the supervision of the professor.
The department has a museum for preservation and displaying different surgical specimens collected from the hospital.
