Services & Activities Provided by the Department of Psychiatry:

(a)    Theoretical lectures
(b)    Clinical teaching programme with case demonstrations & discussion.

·         Training to undergraduate student and internee doctors in the field of Psychiatry.
·         Research activities.
·         Services to the patients in Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital

(a)    OPD service.
(b)    Consultation & Liaison service in in-patient setting.

·         Family therapy
·         Behaviour therapy
·         Counselling for marital problem & sexual dysfunction
·         Motivational interviewing with drug addicts
·         OPD based detoxification program for drug addicts
·         Grouptherapy & Individual Counselling for Treatment
& Rehabilitation of Drug addicts
·         Counselling for family members for drug addicts
·         Counselling for Oral Drug Substitution for IDUs (Injecting drug users)
·         Psyhosocial treatment for chronic pain management
